Pirastro Evah Pirazzi
Evah Pirazzi are high-tension composite core strings. They offer powerful focus and projection and have become a top choice among professionals and other serious players.
Pirastro Evah Gold
Evah Gold strings bring an added dimension to tonal complexity. The tone balance is overall a bit warmer compared to Evah Pirazzi, and a little rounder in tone shape. A highly recommended Professional string choice.

Pirastro Obligato
Pirastro Obligato D, G and C have a composite core. The A has a Steel core. Many strings of this type are bright and focused, but Obligato has a warm gut-like tone.
Permanent
Solid Steel A with stranded metal core D, G and C. Great for electric instruments. The A string is a good alternative to other popular Viola A strings, when a smoother texture is needed.

Pirastro Passione are gut core strings with added benefits. Unlike other gut core strings, Passione gut core material is stabilized to improve tuning consistency. Now you can have the best of both worlds; Gut tone complexity with reliable tuning.
Pirastro Olive
Pirastro Oliv are the premier gut core string. The "Stiff" D, G, and C are popular and recommended choice because they can take higher bow pressure. The optional Tungsten C is also known as "Eudoxa-Olive C". It has a thinner diameter, and a quicker response.
Pirastro Eudoxa
Pirastro Eudoxa strings have a gut core. They provide a very warm and complex tone, that is slightly brighter than Olive. "Stiff" versions of the D and G string are recommended as they offer sufficient resistance to modern high pressure bow technique.
Pirastro Aricore
Pirastro Aricore strings have a synthetic core. They are warmer in tone than most other synthetic core strings. The Eudoxa/Aricore A is ideal for use in a set with gut core strings.
Pirastro Chorda
Historically authentic gut core strings for use on baroque instruments, or modern instruments for a more historically accurate tone and response.

Solid steel core strings for students and folk playing styles. Durable, low cost, long lasting strings.
Pirastro Piranito
Piranito strings have a solid steel core. They are an excellent choice for student instruments due to the low cost, durability and long life.
Pirastro Synoxa
Synoxa is another synthetic core string, similar to Thomastik Dominant. Compared to Aricore, Synoxa are slightly brighter. The tone balance is warm, and tension is low compared to the latest composite core brands.
Pirastro Tonica
Tonica have a nylon core. Similar to Thomastik Dominant. They are priced lower, making Tonica a good value. Consider using an alternative A string with a steel core, such as Pirastro Evah Gold or Larsen.
