NS Design CR Bass
CR Series electric upright bass, with its exceptional versatility and tone quality, is an indispensable tool for a wide range of touring professionals and recording artists. The lean, solid-body CR Series bass takes its place in a long history of fine instruments crafted in the Czech Republic. The CR Series neck and body are made from select maple. The full scale fingerboard is graduated for consistent response from note to note, with adjustable relief and bridge height to suit all playing styles. The Polar Bridge Pickup System combines great sound with directional sensitivity, for a rich and expressive response to arco and pizzicato technique. Optional EMG™ magnetic pickups expand the range to include classic electric bass sounds.
NS Design CR Traditional
The "Traditional" version of the NS Double Bass is set up to satisfy the needs of the experienced upright bassist. The standard 106 cm acoustic upright scale length is preserved to insure that fingering and string tension will be consistent with acoustic instruments. While the neck shape is traditional, the small body allows unrestricted access to the upper register of the fingerboard. A small brass button on the back of the neck provides a tactile reference for the traditional "D neck" position. Dot markers provide a subtle but effective intonation reference.

This Omni Bass was designed for the bass guitarist looking for upright bass performance characteristics, as well as for upright bassist looking for a more portable performance partner. With its familiar 34 inch bass guitar scale, the four and five string fretless and fretted models all use identical fingering to that of the conventional bass guitar, yet deliver dynamic new plucked and bowed sounds for the serious bass guitarist who wants to expand his expressive range. Tuned to E or down to low B, this radical electric bass combines the tonal purity of the acoustic upright with the awesome power of the full-blown electric, resulting in the most versatile bass on the market today.
NS Design CR EU Series
Our flagship double bass, the EU Series is made in the Czech Republic to the exact specifications of the original US Series instrument. The revolutionary design is molded with concentric laminations of graphite and rock maple that run the entire length of the instrument for maximum sonic integrity. The back of the neck is curved inward to follow the arch of the graphite fingerboard, resulting in a slim, easy to play neck with full access to the upper register.
Wood Violins Viper
The flagship model of the Wood Violins line. Mark Wood himself plays a 7 string fretted Viper. Viper players often refer to their instruments as Vipers, not Violins, because they are truly in their own class, especially when fretted.
